Exactly, you never want to make a play like this. 

With the series tied 1-1 it's something like 80% the winner of game 3 will win the series, so therefore playing the %'s would be to back the team you want to win the series in game 3.

If the Spurs win game 3 they likely according to history win the series.

A very high %,   the formula for a road team to win the series is to hold home court in games 3 and 4.

History is not on your side playing it that way...................................
