Knicks won't beat Spurs or OKC in the finals
if they play OKC it will be a sweep
if they play Spurs, Spurs in 5
the real Finals is the Western Conference Finals

The Knicks would matchup better against San Antonio’s lack of depth and injury concerns. If J Williams doesn’t play entire series the Knicks would beat the Thunder because of their better starting 5

problem with the Knicks against these west teams is size, they can get away with it against the young Hawks and the mentally weak Cavs but these 2 teams out west would punish Brunson and get him involved in the action in ways that would hurt his offense as well plus Kat would be a major liablity agaisnt either team, its a bad matchup either way for the Knicks unless they get lucky with multiple injuires on OKC/Spurs

I’ve been thinking about this series and how I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s OKC in 6 or 5.
Knicks have looked better than they actually are by playing marginal competition in the East. OKC has so many bodies to throw at Brunson and wear him down. Towns will have to have an out of body experience and play light years above his potential for the Knicks to have a chance.

The Knicks are the Hunters, which is what OKC was l a st year.
Both teams are connected on/off court.
Hartenstein knows some of the Knicks tendencies but Robinson is healthy..big key off bench for NY.
I like it to go 6 or 7.

I respect the Knicks recent play and they did win the NBA cup - but they played the Spurs.
I don't think and never thought they would beat whoever comes out of the west and i still dont even though they swept.
I watched a lot of the Cavs this year. They stink. The 76ers have tons of talent but they aren't consistent and Embiid being in and out throws them off. Knicks sweeps were also greatly aided by the other team playing 7 game series with 4 road games.
OKC is the deepest team in the NBA and they have BOTH the best home and road records. In the ultra competitive West, that is not a fluke. The Knicks won less road games in the regular season than the Hawks, 6ers and Magic did. This recent run is due to return to the mean once they play this massive step up in competition. It doesn't make sense because both these teams got eliminated by the opponents Knicks swept, but I think Boston or Detroit would have been tougher opponents.
The East was particularly bad this year. And remember they struggled with the Hawks.
The rest will help i suppose but whoever emerges from the West will be more battle tested and the Knicks will be a step down from their previous opponent. And this could actually be perfect for OKC to get one tough series after 2 sweeps, they finally get a true test before the finals. They will just be relieved not to have to deal with Wemby anymore. Brunson does not have the same superstar quality, he is a very good player but I would not call him great.

Everyone seems to miss the fact the Knicks had a week off before playing the Cavs and will have a week off before playing in the finals. Thats a huge advantage this time of year. So the Knicks won't have the depth, but their starters will probably be fresher than anytime this season past Christmas.....
Holmgren/Hartenstein vs KAT....gimme sassy pants all day every day
I'll also take Brunson over Floppin Free throw boy SGA....
OG, Hart and Bridges vs Dort etc? No brainer
I dont know if the Knicks lose a postseason game this year. A NY sweep is a definite possibility.

OKC will throw waves and waves of defenders at Brunson. I don’t think Bridges and Anunoby can beat OKC in a 7 game series. OKC has the depth to go double big or single big and target KAT on defense. He’s going to spending his time on the bench a lot and foul out against OKC.

Knicks already lost two games. Going the entire playoffs without a single loss is insane. They might lose a few more games in the finals.
