I’m fully aware this isn’t a “comfortable” pick — and that’s exactly the point.
Value in betting rarely sits where the crowd feels safe. More often than not, it shows up in spots that look irrational from a surface-level point of view. That discomfort is usually a signal, not a warning.
Books understand public psychology very well. They know which side feels obvious, and they’re not shy about shading lines to attract volume there. The number isn’t always about balance — it’s about behavior.
If you feel great about your play, that’s often when it’s most dangerous. Comfort is usually priced in.
Sharp money doesn’t chase narratives. Whales don’t need to feel good — they need to be right on the price.
