Andrew Bynum hopes to develop a jump shot this summer, and also mentioned that he'll look into the Orthokine therapy that improved Kobe Bryant's ailing knee.

Anything that improves the health of Bynum's knees would be great news for L.A. -- he missed six games in this shortened season, but had missed an average of 31.0 games over the past four (38 percent of the Lakers' games). It would also be huge if he developed the 15-18 foot jumper he talked about, but he already put up career numbers this year at 18.7 points, 11.9 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game.

Why not just get your big ass on the block. Work on getting as deep as you can and finishing everything you throw up within 2-3 feet?! Working on a 15-18 foot jumpshot?? Defenses will give that to him ALL DAY! I swear I hope we trade this idiot over the summer. I agree with Stephen A. I would flip Bynum for Deron and Brook Lopez in a heartbeat.

Bynum needs to work on his attitude and heart cuz when thing arent going his way he quits. I think it might b better to trade bynum for some players who will give it their all. Get rid of sessions too hes a turnover machine

you cant work on heart. You either have it or you don&#x27;t. And its pretty clear Andrew just doesn&#x27;t have it. He just doesn&#x27;t care about winning championships. He&#x27;s more focused on scoring points. I hope they trade him for some good solid pieces.

Couldn&#x27;t agree more And where&#x27;d you get your info about that D-Will &#x2B; Lopez for Bynum trade? I thought D-Will for Bynum was a pretty solid deal for LA. Never thought they could sneak Lopez into the deal as well. Seems too good to be true for LA

This guy is so stupid. But the Lakers have invested so much time. 7 years, Every year but one, this guy gets injured. Or misses games for flagrant foul suspensions.They have waited and waited for this guy to get a clue. First round pick. 15 million for this bozo.

...In fairness to bynum and his injury issues, one year it was a freak accident where kobe rolled into his leg after kobe tripped in the lane. i do believe there is a difference between someone who has physical structural flaws that are exposed by the wear and tear of regular play (eg oden, yao ming, brandon roy, and even derrick rose perhaps), as opposed to getting injured in an accident on the court (eg. Andrew bogut).

.... in terms of work ethic to improve his game, jon barry was on espn radio the other day about a story how he encountered bynum working out last summer in LA and was surprised to see him at the gym and thinks bynum will do whatever it takes to improve his skills....

... but it once again comes down to maturity and leadership.... can he handle a big contract extension, and the leadership responsibilities that come with being the number 1 guy on a team?
