Somebody help here because I'm trying to figure out how the Spurs are even close in game one. Dubs over a week off, very fresh, Spurs in an emotional series with Houston, winning two games without kawhi.....Are the Spurs really gonna be up for game one? Is it me being square for thinking this way or is it having common sense? Or is the square side taking all those points? I know it's a 10 point spread but again, if played straight up, dubs dominate the Spurs, sorry.
People talk about pop and their system, well, Steve Kerr played for pop and a lot of the same philosophies you see in San Antonio, you see in golden state yet golden state has better players. Please do not compare the rockets style of play to the dubs because the dubs CAN AND WILL play DEFENSE. Also they have 3 guys who can both create and spot shoot anywhere on the court. You can argue that dray can as well. Gasol over performed and Aldridge will be dead tired running the floor with mcgee or dray. I'm really trying to sell the Spurs in my head here but it's tough. I'm sure pop puts together a great game plan but if somehow, some way the Spurs win this series without Parker even though Parker is a shell of his old self, I'm calling bs. Sorry. ANY THOUGHTS?!

Spurs will be up and motivated to start well but not sure they last the 48 minutes here to keep it close. I'm going to bank on some rust from the dubs early even though they could dominate here from start to finish. Pop will focus on the glass and execution half court....at least early on. If spurs are out of this game first half, am I to believe the spurs after their last series are to come back late here game 1? Not sure. I'm going against the public here and I'm banking on a veteran team doing just enough to keep this close the first 24 minutes of the game.

So if any recall here, this second half line looks VERY VERY familiar to the one with the rockets in game 6. This is definitely intentional. The reason for taking the dubs second half would be to assume they are pissed with scoring only 42 in 24 minutes. Is the rust off? He reason for taking the Spurs would be becuase their defense and what they did to Houston in the second half by covering. I lean dubs here and may place it. Spurs run out of gas second half?
