exactly  if that was dallas's plan in the huddle then they are complete idiots and dint want to really win the game.  Maybe stern paid cuban to throw the game, so more games can keep being played.

And how would they have won by doing your method?  That's right, by getting "ass lucky".  They would have had to foul, hoped for a missed FT, drive full court and hit a three.  Or if they make both FT drive full court and hit a three or a quick two and foul again.  Then hope Portland  misses a ft and hope they are still within a score.  And if there is any time left on the clock, which there probably is very little at that point, drive full court again for the game tying shot.

I'll take my "ass lucky" over yours any day.  Because mine has a better percentage of succeeding.

I can play your game too.  By going into a fouling situation, now YOU are ASSUMING that Portland, who has the ball in the hands of one of its best FT shooters, will miss a FT.  Keep in mind that this is not the NCAA.  Sure misses happen, but not like college.  Than you are assuming down 3 or 4 that Dallas drives full court and hits a 3.  Then you are assuming that when Dallas fouls again that Portland misses at least 1 FT so Dallas can drive FULL COURT again to make a game tying shot at the end. 

You think that was Dallas's only chance?  And you ask if the other guy is new to betting?  I'm sorry, I'll take the "chance" that they did have.  A good look at a wide open three by Terry that nearly went in.

down 2 27s- foul
make 2 /2 fts. dallas down 4 25 or 26s left
DALLAS SCORES with 10 to 12 seconds. DOWN 2 or 1
dallas fouls, por with around 15s left. por makes 1 or 2

dallas will have around 12 to 15 seconds down 2 or 3 or  4 

THE PREMISE IS PORTLAND WILL HAVE TO MAKE ALL FTS to win

DALLAS WHEN THEY DIDNT FOUL HAD TO GO 94 ft to score after a rebound with 3 or 4 secs LEFT

ARE YOU REALLY AN IDIOT???

IF DALLAS FOULS QUICKLY and por makes 2/2 theyll be down 4 with 25s. they can drive full court in around 10secs and they can get a shot of. if they make a 3 theyll be down 1. they foul with 12 to 14secs left. IF por makes 2 again, theyll be down 3 with around 10S

25secs is plenty of time to go full court TWICE

3secs to go 94 ft is very hard and what carlisle did will result in a good shot in 1 or 2 out of 10 times ONLY IDIOT

.....or, instead of hoping all those different things you've said works out in their favor, they just play good D, get the rebound, and get a good look at a game winning shot.  Which is what happened.

stat, cd, and RR's method needed about 8 different things to go right for Dallas in order for them to get a shot at the win.

ohmy, lakers, smoke, myself, and Dallas's method only needed two things to go right in order for them to get a shot at the win.

Is it really that hard people?

Correction, you were shitting your pants as Dallas passed the ball down the court thinking they may tie it up here with a two and force OT.  Going by your fouling situation scenario, while hitting two threes after going full court both times, that was even less likely to happen.  Dallas coach made the right call
