4-1? wow ballsy prediction. This next game is telling of how Miami respond. I have them winning at least 2 games. If they can win 2 games vs a thoroughly experienced playoff squad against the Mavericks i think they can take 2 in this series. Stern will be loving the money coming in as this match up between Durant & Lebron will be generating bundles. So i can see it going to at the very least 6 games.

This also depends on Wade. If he picks up his game Miami can still make a series of this. Not too sure what's going on w/ him or his knee. So we gotta see how he responds in the next couple of games.

I am leaning OKC atm for game 2 but not as confident as i was for game 1. Though Thunder may have shaken off a little finals-nerves Miami will make the adjustments - wether they will be effective is something i am finding hard to predict, assume and cap. I'm reading tirelessly to see if i can get a good feel for each team and players etc.

Something to note Thunder have won 4 out of the 6 Quarters so far in the first 2 games of the NBA finals if you take away the 2nd Quarter as Thunder have tied Miami in both 2nd quarters played. Essentially Thunder lost game 2 in the 1st Q.

Will we see Thunder get off a much better start for game 3? will there be some value in a Thunder 1Q play for game 3?

When Scott Brooks looks at the first 8 minutes he'll watch in disgust Westbrook missing 5 shots in that span out of the teams 13 attempts.

You can say some what Westbrook should be the blame for the 15 pt Thunder 1Q score. He ended that qrt 1-7. He was looking for his own shot and hardly looked to pass. There was a stretch when he took the last 3 shots in 1 minute and about 7 seconds in the first 2 mins of the Quarter lol. He missed them all. Durant only had about 2 attempts.

If Durant buried at least even 3 of the 7 shots Thunder could have ended that qrt down 6 instead of by a dozen - Big difference!!


2 games now Thunder has lost the game in the First qrt alone. I can see them adjust and come out stronger for game 3 in Miami. After Miami stole a game on the road and splitting the series i can see people hopping off Thunder and expect another slow start.

I'm looking @ a 1st Q play here. I think game 3 may be closer than people think. I had Thunder winning by about 7-8 pts and they won by 9 in game 1. I have Miami in wins in this series by around 6.5 pts. They won by just 4 pts in game 2. I think the winning margin for game 3 'IF' Miami does win will hover around 4-7 pts.

I think the game will also go OVER 194. It seems for these two teams even if one keeps the other below 20 pts the other team scores 25+. Thunder are just relentless and they have 6 players in this series who can score.

Westbrook ended 10-26 for the game. I think he'll get his ass kicked and will be more disciplined for game 3. He had 7 assists and 8 boards though.

Another thing worth mentioning is Brooks whent away from Collison who played so well in game 1 for Perkins. I think we'll see more of Collison in game 3.

Also consider Durant played the whole 4th Qrt w/ 5 fouls he couldn't be as aggressive as he wanted and still made some great/clutch shots - even a play away from tying the game.

Miami will play much better @ home. They played their 'Must Win' game and now Thunder play theirs. I had no real feel for game 2 but i do some what for game 3. Glad we have 2 days to cap before the game.

I don't really want to get into this but i feel that it is a factor:

A few things i will say about this series in the 2 games thus far is i feel when Thunder came back to win game 1 it was minus any real help from the refs. But when Miami won game 2 you couldn't really say the same about their win w/ the whistles going there way most of the night and in some crucial situations. Some situations where Thunder were coming back and gained some momentum a call would be made that would undo everything for OKC and all of a sudden Miami were up big again. Yet Miami only won 1 quarter in that game and almost foiled the game had the refs actually called all those fouls Lebron had on Durant.

I don't think it's a coincidence that Dan Crawford reffed game 2. Consider also Washington was one of the refs for that Boston/Miami game 2 fiasco where Celtics were robbed of splitting the series. I think they were sent in to insure the series splits in order for it to extend to 6 or 7 games. This has been a ratings gold for Stern.

I do still think 'Thunder is the better 'TEAM', but Miami have the 'Experience'.
