30 something still has a glimpe of R&R, that much I do have an idea about. A lot of it is dungpile Cold Play noise and Smashing Pumpkies but it's an effort.

As far as new popular "rock" goes, I'm guessing Foo Fighters? Green Day? Does Fall Out Boy count as rock? AC/DC has a semi-new album, but it sounds like everything else they've done and I don't see twenty-somethings jamming that on their Ipods.
I don't know.....
Good question

I drive a beer truck for a living and am forced to listen to the radio, and it is bad. Really bad. Above there was a mention of Fall Out Boy, the best thing about them is their name I guess if you are a fan of the Simpson's. Their current "hit" is a song is called Uma Thurman...it's atrocious. It's a f*cking cover of the Munsters theme song!
I spend my driving time constantly changing the stations till my finger goes numb. A few times a day I'll catch a good tune, but it's usually an oldie i.e. Zepplin, Rush, Pink Floyd...
The newer "alternative" is strange and directionless.
Alabama shakes I can dig on. Chick has a great set of pipes and has a good bluesy guitar style.
