I actually like some heavy metal songs, but I have a question for you.

Why do so many of their songs talk about going to the other side, or darkness imprisoning them??????

yeah but don't you ever wonder why the lyrics of a song came to be?

these lyrics are constantly flowing through your subconscious more than you know
