People are waiting for 'King of Limbs" to help breathe some life into the gasping-for-air world of music. I love the new album, but it's gonna take a lot more CPR to resuscitate the music world as we know it.

Radiohead is the most innovative band.   I never know what to expect from them.  Haven't heard the whole album yet but I am looking forward to it.

there are plenty of quality bands/muscians out there... even back in the day (any day) ppl complained about the quality of music and performers...musicians in 50's thought rock n roll was a joke, compared to the r&b it was based off of...similar talk about the music of the music of 60's vs 60's...40's versus 30's...

You're 30 something.  How the fuck would you know what musicians in the 50's were thinking?

I liked In Rainbows a lot. Hail to the thief never really grew on me. But I'm spoiled by Kid A and the earlier stuff.

    I miss this Radiohead: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hvv_nI3sbSI

Thanks Henry for the heads up brother.....Ive been a littld scarce foe awhile.

The same guy getting me the all area pass that  got to that Roger Waters show, has a great ticket to Eric Clapton this weekend......

Wish it was he in and during the "Slowhand" tour and era of 1977 if I recall correctly when it came out....

He was so awesome then....I was 13, so I knew so little about that a british guy could also sing with an acent or dialect that sounded as though he was fro Georgia or someting.....As an idiot kid, I actually thought Clapton and Slowhand was a tad "Southern" in style....

Along those same lines, I didn't realize or know that Hugh laurie of the show "House" on USA Channel, was actually a British dude....

Jude Law is another that pulls it off very well....

I'm not a big thread starter, but a good one might be what Brits pull off sounding more Americans than most Americans on their albums and such......

I didn't realize that Tom jones was British till I was around 25+ years old....

Hell, I thought mayonaise was "miracle whip" till around college...

    LOL

Not certain if LCD soundsystem fits into the parallel I make when i think of Radiohead, but I guess in terms of bands that I feel like I should know better, both radiohead and LCD both seem to fit that bill.

I also feel like I should get to know Arcade Fire better also...

    Thoughts?

    (other than Im a retard)

I always love music recomendations, and since I'm not in a car all the time anymore, I feel like I miss a lot of cool stuff.

Only way I get new music ideas these days are reviews in magazines or guys like you all...

I'm 46, and I rock on like anyone else, but once you get away from a city with a decent sized college in it, you miss out on a lot of good shit.....

If anyone knows of a decent radio station in Vegas, please let me know........

Online radio stations are always a thought I suppose, so if anyone knows of a killer radio staion in whatever cool city, I'll take it..

Screw it...I'll beg in a new thread....

Good album. Love Radiohead. They are my favourite band of all time. I would rank this album somewhere in the middle of the pack, ahead of Pablo Honey, Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief but behind OK Computer, The Bends, Kid A, and In Rainbows. I just listened it for the first time so it might grow on me some more.

I don't believe you own swamp land to sell. I also don't believe you are an agent selling swamp land for someone else.

I like what they do but, just wish they would record an album with somebody else once in a while instead of Nigel Godrich.  Imagine them working with Daniel Lanois  or Brian Eno .
