I could not help myself I just had to start a thread about my favorite band of all time, RUSH! Geddy Lee is my favorite band member and needless to say the musical abilities are these three far surpass most musicians. Seen them in concert countless times and have all their music.
Now let me vent about today's music.
I think fans of some of the last generation bands (like myself) are also the people who just shake their heads when they hear all this digitalized music and these new artists popping up left and right.
I'm never surprised when I hear a catchy song on the radio which sounds good and in key and then you see the band or artists live or on a TV performance and they are nowhere near as good. Recording studios work miracles with some of these new artists. There is no doubt that there has not only been a huge change in the kind of music being played today on the radio, but also the level of talent required to produce such music.
