I am a fan of the Ramones and Nirvana but fuck those guys were horrible live half the time. A few catchy punk tunes don't warrant top 20 on a guitar players list.. The same list that put Van Halen at #70??

Man, I love Duane Allman but no way in hell is he the 2nd best guitar player of all time.
He might not be the 2nd, but he is in the top ten.I believe that you have to give xtra credit to those who are the 1st to create and do things.Xample Steve Ray,another top ten'er, but you can hear who he took his lead from. Some things can not be measured. If you are aware of ALL of Duane Allmans work, the short time he compiled it, the range, etc etc, i dont have problem with it.It's always a little easier to build a better mouse trap than to build the 1st.

I have not looked at the list yet but i'm past the point of caring how these people, most of whom are judging this without hearing live, and probably have not listened to the whole bodies of work, think.

What like one Jimmy Page plays in the avatar above your post?? Those are called double necks, most will have a 12 string and a 6 string, some will be a 4 string bass instead or even an mandolin, custom made for the players. Page would be the one most famous that plays that, as well as the guy from Cheap Trick.

I read this list years ago and closed it within a couple of minutes. Eddie Van Halen is easily top 10 of all time and they had him down by #80? Really? #80? For me he's easily top 5, and for most top 10.
