Don't come in Music forum to often, saw this thread and had to post this when I saw it. I Saw Ritchie in the late 60's at the Filmore East in Greenwich Village. Sat in the second row with a few friends one Mary was battling leukemia. In those days it was almost incurable, Ritchie was strumming wildly like he always did and his ring flew off and Mary caught it. Ritchie finished his show and walked off without getting his ring from her, About 2 minutes later he comes out and waves for us to come back stage. He gave Mary a big hug, talked to us for a few minutes, It was a highlight Mary took to the her grave. She also went skydiving before she passed away.
RIP Ritchie and Mary
