Pop of the 70's

Question

Okay so I&#x27;m 46 years old... so I remember the music played in the 70&#x27;s very well.  We always had a radio on at the house, or in the car.So there is this late night infomercial selling tons of CDs with hundreds of these hits of the radio back in the day.  I cannot turn the channel - so much good music back then.They also sometimes to different genres of different time periods... I always find myself watching the entire 30 minute infomercial.Am I the only one?

You are a few years older than me but I have older brothers. We used to watch shows like Soul Train and Solid Gold all the time.

And I love those commercials. If I'm flipping channels and see one of those 30min spots I watch it. The most recent one that comes to mind is the two guys from America (Horse With No Name, Sister Golden Hair, to name a few) are the hosts and it is a variety of music from that genre.

More good music was made 50&#x27;s thru 70&#x27;s than 80&#x27;s 90&#x27;s and probably the rest of this century. jmo

Just FYI..........Tommy Shaw &amp; Jack Blades (Shaw/Blades) put out an album called "Influence" in which they cover a bunch of 60&#x27;s/70&#x27;s hits, including "Summer Breeze", "Time of the Season", &amp; "Lucky Man". It&#x27;s a fantastic release.........they don&#x27;t ruin the songs by over- improvising them. It&#x27;s recorded really well. I highly recommend it.
