Is it really that they were 20 years ahead of their time, or is it that not much has changed in Washington D.C. in 20 years?

oh yeah i like this music style a lot. i remember one afternoon i got to hang with the drummer of husker du. he was pretty cool, smoked a shitload of cigs, and his girlfriend a john lennon imagine tattoo on her ankle. all those guys from that scene are burned out for the most part. nikki sudden (of the swell maps) was really awesome (rip).
