My Sony Walkman had these New Wave groups

Depeche mode, U2, Flock of Seagu

Flock of Seagulls, The Cure, Thompson Twins, Modern English, Tears for fears, Simple Minds, Ultravox, Alphaville

Yaz or Yazoo, Visage, OMD, Duran Duran (maybe a song or 2) Kraftwerk, Echo and the Bunnymen, Real Life, B-Movie(solid)

I had the deep RED shoulder length hair with the flock of seagulls hair-do.  Wore eyeliner and a dark trench coat.  My gloves had no fingers and the scarf had to be red.  Penny loafers and wing tip shoes were cool.  If i wore a tie the end would be cut off.

Japan, Bauhaus, China Crisis, Psychedelic Furs

Are any of those bands considered New Wave?

Good stuff. Love those 80's

Will be at an 80's flashback show this Saturday lineup includes Blondie, Rick Springfield, Psychedelic Furs, Adam Ant, Berlin, The fixx and The Sugarhill Gang.

You need to transfer that music from the Walkman to an update unit. I grew up in the 8 track era.

Back in 1982 or so, I saw Flock of Seagulls open for The Police at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA  (where the Patriots play). Easily my best concert experience ever. I found this on the Tube from the same year at a similar venue. Great song by The Police which few are familiar with.

Getty, The Police are three very talented dudes.

Is that Sting rocking the parachute pants?

Leisure Process, The Spoons, Soft Cell, Level 42...

Toronto had the best new wave scene.  CFNY 102
