Just got tickets to see Stevie Vai in September

I'm not always a big fan of some of the music he plays, but you can not argue the fact that he plays what he plays just about as well as anyone who has ever shredded

Another one I have missed over the years.

Sigh.  So much partying to do and so little time.

Looks like he is off to Italy and then back here in November.

11/7 a Monday night at a small venue in Ridgefield, CT

This is definitely doable.  About an hour and a half down to the Ridgefield Playhouse.

Well, I think it's now or never.

 I've seen Joe Satriani twice.......never seen Vai. If I could get good seats I'd go.

Biscuit, conducting myself "accordingly" leaves much room for interpretation. 

Goose, I go to the Ridgefield Playhouse often.
Great venue to see an act. Only 500 seats, all with a good view, and the acoustics are incredible.
For such a small venue, they get some pretty good artists.

Mugg, you fly to CT, and the seats are on me

Never been to Ridgefield Playhouse.  I will definitely go 11/7.  Just a matter of who goes with me.  My best partying bud would enjoy it but he'll be in Florida.  It's not really Wifey's "cup of tea" so she's out.  My other good partying friend Jack is Black and I'm guessing he'd be outnumbered 499-1.  Not that he'd really give a rat's azz.  Maybe I'll bring Jack and show him how the other half lives.  Ridgefield rich white suburban guy-heads.  What do we have for excellent casual dining around Ridgefield?  Route 7, right?

Route 7 runs along the perimeter of Ridgefield. 
The Ridgefield Playhouse is very easy to get to. 
Almost within walking distance is my regular pre-playhouse eating spot, called the Hideaway. It's a bar/restaurant with wood floors and walls. Old building with a good vibe and pretty good bar food. 

LMK if you're coming, we will meet there. I will be with 2 friends and no wives. This is definitely not a wives show.
Bring Jack with you, your dinners/drinks are on me

OK, cool.  I'll take care of our two tickets and see you guys at the Hideaway.  We'll be there early at like 5pm for the 7:30 show.  Kick down a couple of drinks and relax with some good Bar Food.  You can't miss us... I'll be the guy in my avatar wearing a denim do rag and Black Jack is my my hand man.  Not like we don't stand out in a crowd.  LOL.

Not sure I can pull that off. It's actually in November though, right? He's skipping Seattle next month........damn.

I don't know if Bernard's is overrated, as it's actually pretty good.
But it is definitely over priced. The place is crazy expensive.
I've lived around here for 16 years and have been to Bernard's twice.
It normally takes 5 years to recover financially from a dinner there

I will take his word as I've never been to the Ridgefield Playhouse.
