WAPD and the Secret Service asked the president elects transition team to invite her to perform, because they felt it would be the best way to control the crowds.

It would immidiately lower the number of expected crowds with some 200.000 and also lower the level of excitement amongst thoose who do appear.

Earplugs will not be serviced at the entrance.

im sure it will still be better than when bush was getting inaugurated in 04 for like 5 minutes straight on cnn all you could was some guy yelling "fuck bush"

I'm surprised they didn't ask Mellencamp to do that god offle "this is our Country" song. From the east coast, to the west coast, I wanna shoot myself in the face everytime I hear that. Actually he's probably not much of an Obama guy so nevermind.
