I could fill up the page here with thoughts & memories was shooting pool at a friends house 1st time i heard them and by the end of Black Hearted Woman i took the cue & put down the cue & took a seat on the sofa. Next weekend purchased Fillmore East and my love of their music was sealed, along with Jimi & the Dead.Something about these 3 went past my ears and into my heart. When i heard the news and i gotta be honest here the 1st thing i thought and felt, was old, but by the end of the evening i realized just how lucky i was to be around for the beginning and end of all this great music. RIP ole boy, Lord knows you have earned it.
