it's about time someone made a thread about this movie! Probably my favorite movie of all time. This movie has it all. Humor, a bit creepy, sci fi, etc.
The usage of the term "Deus Ex Machina" near the end of the movie was an excellent idea. Brilliant movie overall.
Some forshadowing I noticed the last time i seen it was when Donnie is stabbing Frank in the eye and Frank's eye starts to glow... you'll notice that this is the same eye that is shot.
He did figure out time travel. not only to save the girls life but to make wrongs right. To prevent the world from ending, etc.
He sacrificed himself to save the world. As it was better off without him in it. And no one knew it. But after he died people subconciously felt that something had happened.
If you watch this movie and don't "get it" watch it again. And if you still don't "get it", watch it again. And if you think Adam Sandler Movies like "Click" or "50 First Dates" are good... don't watch this movie.. Because you will just never truly "get it".

Check out Mulholland Dr. if you haven't seen it yet.
Mulholland Dr.
GREAT FLICK!!!
Lynch is great because he says a big FUCK YOU to conventional rules in cinema and tells stories in his own way. I personally like his version of The Wizard of Oz the best (Wild at Heart), but all of his films are great.
Blue Velvet is simply classic!
“DON’T LOOK AT ME!!!”
Great stuff.
Suckitup, you have good taste.
