Def Leppard tour

Anyone else seeing them this summer... I'm going August 3rd when they play in Biloxi.

 

Loved this band in the 80's never got to see them in concert during their hayday.  Now almost 30 years later I get to see them with Joan Jett as the opener.

 

My favorite song was Rock of Ages.

 

I'll give a concert report after the event if anyone's interested

Hearing Panther

Pyromania was one of the first records I bought .. I was about 12 /13  or so ..

Def Leppard was my first concert in 1983

 

I just saw them play on Jimmy Kimmel or Conan or something... the band was tite and sounded great, but the lead singer was shot.  His LACK of any voice at all really got in the way.  If you may recall that music would frequently travel an octave or two higher than normal males can visit.

 

 

kingme- Your post above is dead on. The band sounded great but Joe Elliott can't hit those notes anymore. Some of the most popular songs he would pull the microphone away and let the audience sing the lyrics.

 

The show I went to was at about 50% capacity. It was Ok but probably not worth the $75 per ticket face value. Still we had a good time with the couple we went with and the Casino I stayed at.
