I be quite appreciative if those that are still in college would be willing to post some great decent University/College, preferably a big high enrollment type school like Ohio State, Michigan, USC, anything in the Pacific North West like Washinton, Thje Ducks, Beavers of Oergon State, ....hippies in Cal-Berkeley,, schools in the N.Eat, etc....

    I don't care.

I just need some killer great rock stations for my monster laptop....

Prefer rock of course....classic, progressive, alternative, punk, of course you get it......

I'll take some decent jazz stations also as well if you guys have any....FYI, the underrated and quite prolific power forward Wayman Tisdale from the Kings and pretty awesome for the Suns of the early 90s, put out some awesome jazz during his last couple years in NBA and about 4+ CDs after he retired....Sadly passed away from diabetes complications.....Always played with a big smile on his face. I teared up when I saw him interviewed with a leg missing....Wish we could do without a handful of F-15s and other astoundingly and obnoxiously expensive weapons that ufortunately are used not often, and if only we knew exactly how many are not needed (NONE), and perhaps we could cure some of these insideous deseases that take so many good humans from us.

Anyway, all good radio station referrals would be appreciated....I love being turned on to good music and different venues to find more great music, and hear good shit I already love!

    Rock on music section!

    Good cover of London Calling!

    For the great Mick Jones!

BAD >>> E=MC2 (best live of this one)

Two cool as hell U2 songs.....

    Unforgettable Fire

    Wire

    Led Zep >> The Ocean

Radio stations....give me some good ones, THANKS!

(and yes, I'm a little buzzed at 3am)

I wish some of the 18-20 yrs olds would see this....

They usually can't cap worth anything, but I'd assume that they'd know some good college stations.... LOL sorta....

Been listening to KROQ since 1979, The early years were pretty cutting edge for alternative and helped bring out the UK scene and a lot of underground bands in the 80's. Unfortunately it has become REALLY mainstream now.

Also Dhop BAD is one of my favorites I don't know too many fans.

Nut, I got drunk with M.Jones in 1986 , while he was getting ready to do a show in St. Pete FL after that 2nd BAD album "No. 10 Upping St."

Saw him a couple times after and dude recognized me from there, but sure as shit didn't know my name or anything...... Funny as shit guy, Mick is. Plan on running into Mick at his digital music library in London this Summer....See if he's wasted during the day, since he seems drunk in every interview in the last decade....... Like that Carbon Silicon band he was screwing around with a little...More because I guess since he's just still playing probably.

Should probably rephrase things a little about us drinking with MJ.....we were drinking with Mick while his crew was prepping for the concert, and we got drunk.....That fucker can put them back, but we had stamina as well I guess.......

That first BAD concert I saw in St. Pete was at a cool joint back in the day called Janus Landing......Saw the Chili Peppers there around the same time. They were really fricking great early on...Back then the R.H.Chili Peppers advertised with staples 13x10 fliers stapled and taped to poles and shit. No kidding. Only way we knew they were there. Most didn't know about them much yet except in colleges apparently.

We were down there in the Tampa area from Ohio State Spring Break at the time for Spring Training games....

Love Big Audio Dynamite and The Clash......but kinda apples and oranges....even though Mick Jones is always Mick, but BAD definitely had way more funk influence and other funny cool shit....Clash harshness obviously coming from J Strummer....R.I.P.

(since I've lived in Florida 15-20 yrs with frequency, I haven't been to even one Spring game, idiot that I am

.....In Vegas now, and all last Autumn, said I was going to Cactus League games.....also never happened... )

Thanks Mugg.... Lord knows that when all else fails in the rest of N. America in the general quality of new music, the Seattle area will always shine...

Gawd! The aging process sure wasn't good to Mick.

Good clean living does it everytime. The Clash never partied, did they?

Thankfully, my parent's genetics sustained me through the years.

This is kinda embarrassingly turned into a nonsensical dennis blog-thread,

but see if you can tell which is my post after this awesome Roger Hodgson live performance of Supertramp's "Even In The Quietest Moments"

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfPT0ODaM1Q&feature=related

Hint...my user name on youtube has the NBA Suns reference in it...

I remember picking up the Globe CD and wasn't all that thrilled with it.

Man that must have been awesome experience getting hammered with a rock legend or at least it makes for a great story.

I used to go see the Chili Peppers before they hit it at small little clubs in Hollywood Madam Wongs West, Coconut Teaszer etc. in early 80's in High School they didnt give a fuck about ID back then.

Also saw a lot of bands before they made it big, Bangles, Go Go's, Untouchables. Good times I miss those days.

Nut, Globe wasnt too good IMO. 2-3 decent songs maybe...

Try "Megatop Phoenix" and of course, "This Is Big Audio Dynamite"

Meg was their 4th , and This is... was the debut one... Both are really fun, entertaining.....

Nut, agreed. That was a really fun time for music....

    D-hop where you at?

Check this out 97.3 KCBO - Boulder, Colorado.

They play all kinds of rock, a station I listen to regularly for sure.

There's a few other good stations around here, but this one is the best in my opinion.
