70's Rock

Question

Was just watching Twister and caught the part early in the movie where they are chasing a storm and one of the drivers turns up this old 70's tune ( instrumental solo ) and it was driving me nutz what it was. Just googled it DEEP PURPLE Child in Time. Just checked it out on You Tube...Haven't heard it in awhile and never saw the live video. Check it out. Ian Gillan and Ritchie Blackmore at their best. Enjoy

DP is a solid band

Twister is a solid movie

THEMUGG · Answer

If you like DP you might like Rainbow....................Blackmores' next band. Pick up the "Very best of Rainbow" cd..........it has 4-5 really good songs on it.

FireandIce · Answer

I remember Rainbow...never bought an album of theirs.

ValleyHeat · Answer

Get Rainbow Rising. Great album, but side two, Stargazer & A Light in the Black - Ronnie James Dio in his vocal prime, Ritchie Blackmore was a cut above his Deep Purple playing. Highly Recommended.

I grew up listening to all that on my Dad's old records. Good stuff.
