I dont know what Youkilis was doing when he got his hands on Porcello.....Looks like he was trying to go snuggle with him....He had Porcello running back with his hands up wondering what was going on.

Funny thing is that this box went after a little guy in Porcello and got owned.

I didn't see him go after Jackson when he hit him. Jackson wanted a piece of him tonight and of course Youk backed down. Talk about a box.

Reminded me of Ron artest. Go after a little guy but won't go after someone his own size.

Red Sox nation is just pissed off because they are The Yankees bitch now.

funny when edwin jackson tried to get involved after the teams came out.  that stick and bones kid couldnt do much to the big youkilis

haa  espn's baseball tonight was giving the techniques of a proper charge the mound fight.  everything youkilis did was pointed out and said to be the wrong way.

Throwing at the other teams hitters when you're protecting your own hitters is perfectly fine. Don't like it then don't watch baseball. Throwing a purpose pitch at V-mart was not good enough, you trade contact for contact. If one of your guys is getting plunked you don't get even till you actually hit one of their batters.

Yes Kevin Youkilis is indeed a bitch. Throwing your helmet at a guy is a bitch move. Choosing to go after a skinny rookie over Joba or E-Jack is a bitch move. Wearing a box pad on your elbow so you can lean out over the plate w/out having to feel the pain of being hit is a bitch move. The guy is an all around bitch and might be the trashiest looking guy in baseball.

I am not a Tigers fan or a Red Sox fan.  I think what Porcello did is perfectly fine.  When he took Youk down I thought it was hilarious, the kid is only 20!  Youk should be more upset with his pitchers.  Yesterday they hit Miguel, so Jackson retaliates and hits Youk, then the sox go out and hit inge, and the Cabrera again?  I mean really?  You expect them to let that slide, let's be realistic here, Youkilis knew damn well it was coming.

ummm ok you run at me with a head full of steam and I can throw you down too. Youk had all of his momentum running at him and the kid just did a bullfighter move  and side-stepped and  just let Youks momentum take him down and landed on top of him. You guys can see what you want, but I could do the same thing with anyone running at me.

Could have been better executed, could have been against a more manly opponent, &tc. &tc. --

But I think Boston (which also had to take a couple plunks by the Yankees in game 1, because they didn't want to have Beckett get ejected in game 2) really needed what Yuke did --

They sort of slunk through that series in Yankee Stadium like zombies, without Bay, and haven't really had much mojo all year. 

Good for him.  Not perfectly done, but trust me, it will help the team.

By the way I don't give a hoot about the Yankees, Tigers, or Red Sox -- just so long as they help our wallets.
