That wasn't the point I was making. I was saying they used bench players while the starters (the guys who will be in the lineup for every postseason game) were injured. Whether its Kearns, Curtis, Golson etc...they don't compare to Nick Swisher or Brett Gardner.

Speaking of Cashman...I'm pretty sure that transaction to acquire Wood has been in the top 3 of the trades made this season behind Oswalt and Cliff Lee. Am I right?

He's(Wood) been more help to NY than Chad Qualls has been to us. No one can tell me however, that they want to see Kerry Wood in the 8th inning of a playoff game trying to hold a 1 run lead. He's been off more often than on for years now.
