there is an article some where i cant find it, i used to have it saved, when the winds blowing in at that stadium it actually creates a jet stream blowing out of the park the way its configured.....

I swear someone once posted that due to the dimensions of the ballpark that the best wind conditions for Arlington Field is when the wind is blowing straight in from CF.  It causes a jet stream that fly ball catch and easily fly out.  Will some one confirm this.

I don't think it will affect it too much, I'm just a couple miles from the ballpark and it is gusting from time to time, but it's not too bad right now.  Good luck boys!!

LOL beat me too it bads!  Exactly was I recall.  That this type of jet steam is EXACTLY what you want as an over backer.  BOL!

It does show that the OVER is 4-0 when the wind is 20+ MPH. I just assumed it was blowing out. 

 

I've never heard about the jetstream and have certainly been there 100+ times. Can't say I've notice that. Can anyone verify?

You're right, I saw someone else mention that, although for some reason I think they may have installed some wind screens since then that are supposed to limit it, but I'm not 100% about that.

Good enough for me. I think the Rangers will run all over Hughes and can certainly score on extra bases hits...don't need HR's.  I think, unfortunately, that Lewis will give up some as well.

My dad just verified the play by play guys mention this is a fact regularly. Can't say I've heard this but he's a player too so would have taken note of it.

Ball is jumping during batting practice, looks like the over is the play.  Many down on the field think this could be a 10 pitcher night.
