Acutally I looked up the division series history and of the 13 times that it has gone 5 games all 13 had been won by the road team. Very interesting statistic indeed.
Very interesting fact, Home field is 0% in 13 games,,,,other than home field so called advantage,,,,All stars point to TEXAS......This info ices it ,,,,,,TEXAS.....

The reason the line is where it is at is because the series price was TB -140. Now the oddsmaker and bettors are favoring Texas most likely because Lee already beat Price.

I don't get this line? It opened at pk and has moved very slightly in TBs favor. The line for game 1 with the same pitchers at the same ballpark was TB -135. I don't get the line. It is almost like they are begging you to take TB and the over.
Other than Lee's dominate performance game 1 what reasons can you account for the quarter difference?
Also, does anyone have any statistics of home teams in game five of the ALDS. Does home team win more often than not and what is the percentages? Also, do they cover the run line? I know I have more questions than answers but I think that information will help. I will dig and see what I can find too.
I guess we are looking at the same thing from different angles. Lee is pecieved and indeed a better pitcher than Price and you can get him at + money? If they are begging for money, it would be for Texas.

I'm not a big believer in momentum. In fact, I think TX tells themselves, "we've won in the exact same situation just a week ago" and feels pretty confident. That's just my $.02.
MOMENTUM is huge in sports. You just qualified for the dumbest statement today on COVERS.

True but that is the way it was in game one too with higher value (more plus money) available for Lee. The lower line just screams to me to take TB, especially since they won the last two.

In baseball, it's about as good as your starting pitcher the next day. And TX has a pretty damn good one going tonight who already beat Price and the Rays.
TX won two games in a row at Tampa...how did that momentum work out when they got home. Nada.
There is absolutely no guarantee that the two games Tampa won in TX will serve them any better.
Dipshit.

Texas had ALL the momentum in game 3 till they kept swinging at Garza's crap in the dirt. And quit being so hard on yourself, you nitwit.

I used to think like this,,,You can't cap this game as what Vegas is begging us to take.....If they knew the outcome they would make the rays -180,, then we could not resist the value in taking Texas.....Just face the facts Texas w/ 2 lefty starters dominated Games 1 and 2,,,TB bounced back against Rt handed pitchers in Games 3 and 4,,,,Now Texas has thier proven Playoff tested lefty Ace on the mound against a Pitcher they faced and Hit...So The only bet 4 me is TEXAS...or nothing...BOL to all.....

I hate to state the obvious, but a 5 game series has never ended with the Home team not winning a game.

Momentum is a big myth and it has been backed by research!
Come on....... Yanks/ Red Sox series when Red Sox were down 3-0 and came back and won the series 4-3... You dont think that there was any momentum there?

I guess it comes down to who most would believe in this 1-game series and I think it would be Lee.

Tampa sure parlayed that momentum into a good performance tonight.
This thread was designated to invoke discussion. Unfortuantely like many Covers threads it just got into a co%k measuring contest.
I was on TEX +0.5 1H -150 for 0.5 units; TEX +110 full game for 1 units and under 23.5 box score -115 for 1 unit. All in all I cleared only 0.35 units. BOL!
