No argument there at all which explains why it's difficult to lay chalk with NYY. Pettitte's numbers against Detroit are solid, but this is a different group.
All that said, I just don't know if I can trust Bonderman enough to play that + number. As you know, lots of bettors zone in on the starters. Taking that into account (and Bonderman's recent history), I think the line is pretty close to where it should be.

after further review it appears you are in the right ballpark, its arguably around even (depending on the line you got) with them as dogs....thought they were dogs a few more times during that awful drought but often they were slight favs.......
as for Pettite (1) you have to love him coming off a personal loss and his shortest outing of the year; (2) and off the Yanks coming off an L; (3) after the bullpen was taxed b/c of yet another shitty outing by Hughes and (4) with Arod going on the DL......he knows his team needs a solid and long performance and I expect him to "man up" and give it to them tonight............also factor in the great success the Yanks' lefties have had against Bondy and I consider -134 to be a very reasonable price in this spot..........GL to all whatever you decide
