Over 200 hits a season, over .300 average every season. Hit over .340 3 times in his career. 30+ stolen bases a season and if he wasn't playing for the Mariners, he'd have a lot more RBIs. He's really the only person in Major League Baseball that I think could hit safely in 57 straight games. He's is great.

Don't forget he's got a cannon in the Outfield and covers alot of ground. We said best baseball players, not fantasy players. That's why Mauer and Ichiro are in my Top 5.

And sure I'm talking about MLB stats there. How about Japan stats? He has 1,278 hits there, and has 1,866 hits here. Now he is 35 years old. He can probably go 4-5 more years, 6 tops, and as of now, he doesn't seem to be slowing up and could hit that 4,000 career hit mark. And who knows, maybe even pass Pete Rose. It isn't an obsurd thought. Sure it won't count in Major League Baseball's record books, but it's something that is surely amazing.

Here's a good topic that can cause some great discussions. Some are no brainers but there are also probably some surprises that people may come up with. Mine are...
Albert Pujols
Manny Ramirez
Alex Rodriguez
Johan Santana
Ichiro Suzuki
That is my top 5. It was tough but I figured it out. #6 is Roy Halladay. It was really tough between him and Ichiro but I chose Ichiro just because of what he brings day in and day out. Who do you think are the best 5 players in baseball in order?
2 of 5 are juicers!!!!!!!! LOL

Well...according to facts, A-Rod was juiced only in Texas and is still raking the ball. Manny has been caught for the first time and it was this season. You can think about it all you want. Maybe they took it after, maybe they took it before they said they did, but according to the evidence, it is what it is.
And if you laugh at me, laugh at orangemen, lovetoball, lefty, banans, wildcats and docterd for riding a similar route to the one I am.

Show me the last negative headline for Pujols. For every one I'll show you 10 for Manny and Aroid. I'm not dogging your list Bro, just defending mine. Also I agree, Ichiro is no debate.

.005% chance on any probabilty curve that Pujols didn't juice.
You don't have to prove you didn't commit a crime, it has to be proven that you did. Again. I submitted my list and you throw crap on the best player in BB today without reason. Some people.

I was referring to Clemens more or less who continues to deny the allegations against him but he's basically considered guilty even though there is no actual evidence.

look at his bio. his stats & physical build would lead one to believe he used steriods during the "Steriod Era" in baseball...
I don't think of Pujols as the modern day Jesus Christ, setting examples and doing the "right things, the right ways"...
steriods were a way of life in baseball, it was apart of the game, you can't refute that fact... and if you believe Pujols did what he did without it, when every other play of his caliber did it during this era, to each is own.
he could be clean...... but i'll stil with my 95.5% that he isn't

I don't think Pujols will get caught because I don't think he is on roids. I didn't think A-Rod or Manny were either though so I'm 0-2 with those. But the reason he is #1 on my list is simply because there is no trace of roids on his record. Before Manny was suspended I thought he was the best player in baseball and he would have been #1 if he didn't test positive.
