You know what I remember more though? The very next game. 26 outs without allowing a hit. 18 Strikeouts. Beyond impressive. Possibly the best pitched game all season. To do all that and win 1-0. I actually think it was more impressive than any perfect game or no hitter this season.



Very true! That's just one of Cito's brilliant moves though. Totally forgot Morrow's near no-no came the next game.

I agree with what has been said before that Galarraga's blown no-no is one that baseball fans will remember forever. Another great memory for me this year was the NL actually winning an All-Star game and FINALLY getting home field in the World Series. At the time as a Braves fan I had delusions that they would get there, but that was long before they died down the stretch and before the Phillies decided they weren't going to lose the rest of the year.

Not sure if it was said cause im not going to read through it all but for me it was Strasburgs first start. Was a must watch for everyone. The way he pitched that game with 14 K's made it that much more memorable. If he turns into a legit player it will be something i will never forget watching.

Unless your talking about injury concerns im fairly certain he will be a legit player

Hamels going from a sub average pitcher in 09 to one of the most dominating pitchers in baseball on an absolute torrid streak right now.

Actually the entire point on that is no other player ever did a ballet dance move and call out a trainer on a pitch that did not hit him. Any other player would have shook their hand like it was hit and walked toward first base.hoping to fool the ump.

It's not just him, it's the entire Mariner pitching staff. In fact, Seattle's consistently dreadful offensive production is a story in itself. Surely they'll set some type of offensive futility record of some sort.
