Forgive me if this has been mentioned earlier, but how would a Vegas Sportsbook treat this? I had a prop bet on the game and was also playing the total. Thanks in advance.

So if Philly would have hit in the bottom of the 6th and not scored the game would have ended a tie?? I lost on Tampa Bay ML due to this rule and I can't think of a sillier way to lose a bet, I would rather have Jamie Moyer hit a grand slam to beat me than a freaking thunderstorm, looks like Philly backers have another call go their way tonight.
Does anyone know of any sportsbook that uses the new rule?? Because
I refuse to play with any sportsbook that plays with this rule.

In the 7th inning Baltimore Took the lead on that game 7-6, but the Yankees answer with 3 runs in the TOP of the 8 to go up 9-7, with the rain came hard and that game was SUSPENDED to be completed few days later and guess what, Baltimore COVER that bet bet only for straight bet because in the last COMPLETE inning (7th inning) they WON 7-6 and cover that spread.Same situation right now.

You most likely lose unless you have a book that changed its revert to the last full inning played rule.

I understand the rules and think that it makes sense for the regular season.... I was at the Baltimroe - NYY game last year mentioned earlier. The game was not "finished" until months later.
Think about that - there were players that were gone from both teams due to injuries or trades .... it's not really the same contest any more even through MLB considers it the same.
HOWEVER, last night should be treated differently, IMO, because there ARE NO OTHER GAMES TO BE PLAYED. This is the World Series. I think strictly from a customer service point of view that the bets from last night should be continued into today or whenever. I bet most locals will do that.
Again, I see the book's point of view on this, and I agree with it for regular season games. I just think that this is an extraordinary circumstance and if it were my business, I would be flexible.
full disclosure: I took a beat last night on Tampa ML which was a hedge for me against my series wager on the Phightin's. I could now (amazingly, incredibly) lose both wagers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if you had phillies on ml you win. no runline or totals count. the rule sucks but it's always been that way. they should of cancelled the game in the 5 th, they knew the rain was coming. must of been alot more action on t.bay ml. just a hunch!

Wow, you guys are right. I layed 380 for 200 on phillies and it was a posted winner. I thought 5 inning rule was for official game only like a rainout. Looks like I got lucky for a change. Good Luck to all.
