Was liking CHW but first I hate going against a hot streak, second, Hallady played well against CHW this year.

I'm usually a sucker for a homedog with a great home record. I realize that much of that great home record was compiled with Carlos Quentin mashing extra basehits, so I've got to be leery of his absence.

Yes, they did. They folded after the back-to-back homers by Beltran and Delgado. It was a game that saw the Nats rally back time after time, but after Charlie Manning blew their second lead of the game, they did nothing offensively after that, probably because in the backs of their minds they couldn't help but think "What's the use? We can't stop these guys anyway."
I don't think the Nats folded at all in last nights game BUT I may be wrong as I'm not having a good week (chilito sais jokingly). Sure the back to back homeruns could of been a downer for the Nats but through the first 5 innings they batted 11-26 .423 . This is the crummy Nats who are a .249 batting team. The next 11 batters they went 1-11 .099. It just evened out but for the game they were a respectible 12-37 .324. Not bad for the Nats. Lets just say the NY power out homered them last night. Good teams don't keep that pace up for an entire game. The Mets went 0-8 the 5th, 7th, and 8th. Granted the Mets had a productive 6th inning and we as gamblers have no way to predict who hits homeruns never mind how many were on base.
Perez has the potential to throw a solid game....the Mets managed 6 RBI's off of homeruns last night to the Nats 2 RBI's on 1 homerun. Thats the difference in the game. I don't think the Mets match their homerun output from last night. As a matter of fact I don't think they even come close. That alone will keep this game close. Perez doesn't allow many walks. He definately needs to get David Wright out to be successful. Now, Pelfey is having a good season but he's no jem by any means, 16-17 the last 2 years.
You mentioned you like the Mets on the run line. Personally I never bet the runline at minus juice on the home team. Its ranging in the -115 to -125 range as I type. Again, thats how I bet. I bet this game because I think it will be close. And if its close the Mutts bullpen has been known to blow a few games.
