I know you dont like to talk about totals...but there is a line around -250 or so on matchbook for the cubs over...is that almost free money if there ever is such a thing....7-0 in the bottom of the 4th...

I wouldn't touch it and here's why:

When there is an extreme amount of high or low scoring in the first half of a game, the tendency is to finish back toward the mean for the end of the game and this means that it is statistically likely for a game to be very low scoring in the second half if it was high scoring in the first. This especially true in football and basketball but also true for bases.

20-20 in the first half for two low scoring teams in football? Bet the second half under.

I'm not saying the over won't hit, but this is something significant to beware of.
