Pitching against Hitting

This series reminds me of the '88 series between the power hitting A's against Hershisher and the Dodgers.

Should be a great series. I do hope SF's bats wake up a little more though.

KickinA -- The Rangers still have the good hitting but shit their pitching has been pretty stout this whole season but particularly lately.  Not the Rangers of the last decade or so.

No doubt TEX pitching is phenomenal. Just that they're better known for their bats.

Game 1 features a 7-0 post season by Cliff Lee against likely starter Lincecum in SF. Imo they need to beat Lee at least once to have a decent chance to win it all.

I hope you are right.  Lee will pitch 3 games if needed.  That is huge and should result in at least two wins.

Lets not forget that Lee only pitched 1 games against the Yanks.  Despite that the Rangers basically made them look silly.  Not sure if Lewis will pitch that well again but --- here's to hoping.

He only pitched once because the timing didn't allow it when they beat the Rays.

Well they made the Yankees look silly because those overpriced starting pitchers for the Yankees didn't show up.

Game 1 should be Lincecum

Game 2 will likely be Sanchez, personally I'd go with Cain

Game 3 Cain or Sanchez 

Bumgarner will probably be used in middle relief.

Thats my opinion.

I realize this.  My point was that the other pitchers showed up as well.  And so having their stud available for 3 games if needed is a bonus.

Well they made the Yankees look silly because those overpriced starting pitchers for the Yankees didn't show up.

Could be argued that the Rangers approach to offense played a role in this.

No doubt about it, the Rangers have all the offensive numbers on their side.

Just I feel its all going to come down to pitching here and timely hitting. Now SF just need Sanchez to grow a pair and pitch the way he did all season. That's why I hope Bochy starts him in Game 2 at home. I don't trust him on the road one bit after his last two starts.

DAMN yeah Lee is 7-0 in da playoffs but fcuk what do we learn in baseball 7-0 can definitely go 7-1 its simply Giants can give him that loss , the Giants formula all season hold the tie or lead or keep em under three runs we will get this win in the later innings beause Lee aint superpitcher cause if he is we got one too and he got long hair which makes him Samson......(the man with the long hair in the bible who was super strong for you guys that dont know)

CAIN will most likely pitch game 2.  He doesn't pitch well on the road.
