Well it feels good to finally be back. Some of you may remember me from NCAAB and NBA and I hope to repeat the incredible success I had from both. I had to take a bit of hiatus due to being robbed. As most of you that know me know I play poker for a living and much of my roll is in cash at my home (think opening scene to Rounders). Needless to say I had to take out much of my sportsbook roll to get back on my feet and buy an overdue reinforced safe and after a few months I'm back on the saddle, although it killed me to miss march madness.
But enough of that...
To give a heads up on how I play MLB, 90% of my bets are ML with value focus on small home favorites/dogs and large away dogs. With the other 10% being a grab bag of over/unders and heavy favoirtes.
To today's picks:
Minn @ Det Det ML (2u, -126; 252 to win 200) -Give me Jackson over Liriano so far this season and Detroits ability to hit on the leftys compared to minny on the rightys. -Worried a little about Det's bullpen, but if Jackson can pitch 7 tonight it shouldn't even be a concern.
NYM @ ATL ATL ML (1u, -122, 122 to win 100) -Mets have the better hitters, but prefer ATL's starter and bullpen to pull out a 1 or 2 run squeaker here at home.
HOU @ WAS WAS ML (1.5u, -143, 214.50 to win 150) -Call me crazy to lay chalk on a 6 win team, yet this is exactly what Vegas doesn't want me to do. Vegas is hooking people into taking HOU here and it's working since 99% of the action so far is on them. Don't be hooked. Do I need to remind you that WAS is facing a pitcher tonight who has given up 12 runs in 4 innings on the mound?
BAL @ TB BAL ML (0.5 u, +188, 50 to win 94.5) -Take an inflated pitcher combined with an inflated team and this gives BAL huge value in what likely will be a slugfest, love nickel on high value here.
SF @ CHC SF ML (0.5 u, +175, 50 to win 87.5) -Same scenario as above.
TEX @ SEA SEA ML (1.5u, -143, 214.50 to win 150) -First of all I think it's very odd to not see these two teams play till May. SEA has a history of absolutely crushing Milwood, combine this with TEX inability to hit on the rightys and SEA should get the nod tonight.
That's all for now. May have another pick or two win a few more lines come out. Glad to be back guys and will see you around.
