A's +105 vs Rangers (Intertops) -- Texas is playing badly and Straily, a top A's prospect, has caught fire. In his last 5 starts he has a 0.77 WHIP and 2.20 ERA. A's have a winning road record. I have to think they have at least 50/50 shot to win this game.
Astros -108 vs White Sox (Intertops) -- Sox are playing badly, and are terrible on the road. Astros hit lefties much better than righties and are facing a lefty (albeit a pretty good one) in Quintana tonight. Bud Norris is another red hot young pitcher, with 5 excellent starts in a row, against better offenses than Chicago's.
Giants -111 vs Padres (Intertops) -- Yeah, I'm going against a hot team here, something I try to avoid. But the Padres' recent hot streak was all at home; they are 13-20 on the road and the Giants are 21-11 at home. Zito has a 1.94 home ERA, Volquez has a 6.87 road ERA for San Diego. Yeah, San Fan is not playing well and Sandoval is hurt and Posey isn't in the lineup. But Quentin, Gyorko, Alonso, and Maybin are all regulars who are not in the lineup for San Diego. I'm getting the World Champs at home with what I believe to be the better pitcher and better bullpen for a very cheap price here.
