Before anyone moves on the Rockies, you might like to know that Cargo, Tulo and Helton are all OUT of the line-up today.
Braves have also won 8 of their last 9 and 6 of those by more than a run. Bravos RL looks the play on the early game, if indeed any play at all.

Personally, I'm liking the Mets at fancy prices against Kershaw and the Dodgepots and the Royals as home dogs against Scherzer and the Tigers.

It should come down to Nicasio, and since I "lean" Rockies to win, I'd rather take the Under in case he gets 0 run support which is a real possibility for anyone taking Colorado IMO.

The morning game usually sets the tone for the rest of my day. If I win, I know I'm on. If I lose, I'll usually call it a day. Corky superstition, I know. LOL!

I believe it started at 7 and moved to 7.5 overnight.

PS: My "play of the year" in NBA was Miami Over Chicago Series Future. Check the record. It was a WINNER! Woo!

I just can't bring myself to back the Rockies, just can't. Too many negatives.

Bodio's report on the Rockies/Braves game is an excellent one that gives good support to backing the Braves. Too many positives for the Braves, plus their momentum of winning at home.

I'm going...

Braves RRL (+1.5)
Braves ML
Braves RL and Over
Braves RL and Under

All for one unit each.

I think that the Braves would win the game by more than one run, hence the parlays on both the RL and the Over/Under. And the reason why I have the high-chalk ML and RRL bets also is to pick up extra money that are automatic wins if the Braves' RL bets win.

I've won a lot of RL bets and have padded my winnings nicely by adding high-chalk ML and RRL bets, too. On the games that the RL bets have lost, I've been able to cut my losses with the use of the high-chalk ML and RRL +1.5 bets.

And Sarah... about the effect of early morning games on the rest of the day... yea, calling it off if you have a bad start is THE RIGHT thing to do!

Otherwise, you'd wind up chasing losses with a bad frame of mind that can affect your latter picks, so I do the same thing. Bad start... cut it short and call it a day, indeed.

After a bad start, I just go hiking and take a swim in Lake Tahoe and I always feel better afterwards.

As always, good luck today Sarah. I'm not sure if I'm gonna play that early game but if I do I'll be playing Atlanta -1.5R +125. Colorado looks real nice with that +161 but that's what they want you to think. JMO.
