I don't like that Eric Lauer has only one game with catcher Brandon Valenzuela, and it lasted only 2 innings vs the CWS. He was under the weather, had the flu so he wasn't 100%, and didn't last. He should be healthier and ready to go, but even an illness is a disruption in a pitcher's routine. 

There's a lot to like about the Twinkies in the first 5 innings today, imo.

Hitting is a huge advantage for the Dodgers. Need my pitcher to put out those flames, and he's certainly capable of doing so.

Sheehan hasn't been right since 2024 Tommy John surgery. He had the flu during spring training that slowed down his progress. His fastball velocity is down 3mph from where they want it to be.

The Dodgers are in the catbird seat in the MLB. They can afford to let him throw while working on fixing his mechanics and such this early on. Their bullpen and bats could certainly muster a W with Sheehan on the bump.

I just need the Rangers for 5 innings.
