Mets better make the playoffs are heads will roll..and they also have to win it all …last was in 86.. you have the loss to yanks .. loss to royals…and a couple playoffs loses too .. so there basically the same position as the yanks win it all or go home

Foc them at this point. 19-34 last 53. 2-14 last 16. Blown lead in 7 straight games. Only team in 124 years to not jave 2 pitchers throw 6 innings in a 50 game span.
Success is never final, failure is never fatal, and it's the courage that counts.

I ignore all of that. Dont even care. Im flying to florida for my fathers 80th birthday today. Gonna surprise him. Only could stay 1 day with my dogs surgery tuesday but i know he will be happy. Only things that really matter. Spent way 2 much time here this year. Love people here but its not real life and i miss time doing important things not worth it. My heart not into it any more. This season has been draining to say the least. Winning didnt feel the same. Losing feels awful. Will post a couple of plays from the airport or when i land. Just gonna enjoy the day with my dad

its like a law of gambling...the more plays you make, the more your eventual outcome approaches 50%. i think this is a mathematical statistical fact where a play with 2 choices as N goes to infinity the outcome must = the mean of the possible outcomes.
its like gravity. Want a winning season? Make 3 plays.

Just looking at standings… in my opinion… Mets have very little chance to make playoffs … they have put themselves in a position where they will have to play well… and I don’t think the chemistry or whatever will allow that… or they would not be in this position now… their leadership… and their play… is poor… my cardinals could beat them .. and my cardinals are poor… poorest I’ve ever seen them… losing last 2 series to Rockies … one after being swept by Arizona… and my cardinals are just a few games behind Mets… there are 3-4 teams now in reach of Mets …. I would lean more the Mets implode over next 30 games… and finish just behind Miami when all is said and done. Just my take.

Gl moving forward on betting and per your dog I had a tough dog experience that I shared on the forum as well. My dog was very sick and just had gotten back from the vet for an expensive visit and within 48 hrs she was wheezing and laboring for breath again(she had heart disease). My girlfriend was against euthanasia but let me tell you if there becomes no more hope and your dog is suffering a lot… there’s nothing wrong with such a choice because that was the second worst day of my life standing by while she struggled for breath and walking from room to room like she knew it was the end before eventually crawling under the bed to pass with foam in her mouth all while I was chugging beers because there was nothing I could do to help her except do what I was instructed not to do which is make the tough decision of putting her down. So just my experience if it comes to that point for you which I hope it doesn’t. Take care and I pray your dog gets better.
The stars might lie but the #’s never do…I feel lucky today

I don't think one has to do with the other. Brooklyn is really really bad on Fridays, never understood why, he knows this so he's trying to limit his plays but still, it's crazy stuff happening and much of which bites him/us in the ass. Bullpens yesterday were disastrous thats why I went UNDER in the SD game b/c of their pen and I almost lost that too b/c of the Dodgers pen who finally showed up. But the Rangers have been on a major slide due to their final arms and that was a brutal way to lose.
As for the Mets, as often happens in MLB, they have just stopped hitting with RISP. Yes, they put up runs but as most of you Mets backers will admit, it's been a lot by HR. That just won't get you very far. Plus the starting pitching is untested and I'm guessing many of those arms stretched too far so at this point tired. The bullpen is a mess, they can't even get the ball to Diaz. That's how I see it from an outsiders point of view.
I"m more focused on my own best sports which will be NFL and finally, soccer, which is just "kicking under way" (pun intended). Baseball has gotten too absurd to me I've watched the craziest errors and umpires missing blatant strikes with the next swing producing runs when I'm on an under. Just bled too much myself and I was not even betting MLB for years and into the FH due to a conflict so I'm pissed at myself for jumping back in. I've never seen so many runs, errors, and bullpen ineptness and I'm not even being bitter.
Good luck to everyone we are around the corner from potentially more predictable excitement and hopefully relief

I just feel like a lot of the complaining comes from people following and losing. Maybe they just started following or maybe they are betting more then they have thinking it’s fast money. What else will make a person come here to complain to someone they never met or owe nothing to.

I don’t disagree. Nobody complains when they win lol. Also lots of newbies I’ve been around for over 10 years and post regularly just not in MLB. I tried earlier a few months back and it seemed anything I’d post would lose but when I played games on my own they’d cash. Just strange bc I know one has nothing to do with the other but like BC you hate losing people who tail money.

in my opinion, there is a huge difference in a complainer and a troll. To categorize them together is wrong. Some people follow (like myself) and may post a “crying” , as you’ve called my post in the past, or message of anger directed towards the game itself (bullpen, sloppiness that extends innings, bad umpire) that contributed to the outcome of the game. This, imo, is typical dialog in a Forum…that’s kinda what they’re for. A troll however thrives off of one’s failed calculation, pick or strategy. In today’s world a troll would be considered a bully, a heckler or just a plain miserable asshole that loves to see people fail (he wants everyone to suck like he does). Those of us who have followed (good and bad) are usually the ones who post with something of substance…the troll however will pound on that keyboard any chance they get to be the annoying prick that they are stuck being. As many have said…including you, we just got to tune that junk out…it will always be there!

Sorry for your loss. Putting your Pet down will never get easier. I have put so many of MY DOGS AND CATS down and it actually gets harder each time. There is a poem in every vets office and you can find it online, where the pet asks the owner to please put me to sleep when the time is right and dont ever feel guilty, because the pet says you gave them a great life and lots of love.
So please dont ever keep your Pets alive when there is no help for them and they are suffering, Thats just us humans being selfish
