Maholm holds a 1.11 WHIP, a 3.73 xFIP and a 3.58 SIERA in may, and while he is due for a minor regression, It shouldnt be too severe as his 12.2LD% suggests batters really arent getting a good rip off his stuff. It also helps that the majority of these pirates bats will be seeing his stuff for the first time from the batters box instead of snoozing in the field behind him. Correia, on the other hand, really is a piece of shit. Theres no way you can justify laying any sort of chalk with him. He owns a 6.46 ERA and 1.44 WHIP in may with a 5.58 xFIP and 5.51 SIERA meaning he really is as shit as his current form.  Yes its the cubs, and yes this means shit about that mess of a pen, but you just cant lay the chalk with a guy whose surface numbers are just as bad as his metrics. Cubs break the streak here? Ill take the shot at +114

Noooooooooooooo please don't put your money on he worst team in he NL, they will never win another game. I think they go on a 15 game losing streak and they never have the lead. They should be +200 till they win a game, LaHair slumping is heir downfall because no one else can hit with RISP. Cubs will not score more than 2 runs here and I see Cutch having a gigantic day after he was held hitless yesterday.

mmm idk...
i see a big pitching mismatch here and im on the stronger side and i get take back. The cubs bats might be slumping, but the pirates arent anything to write home about either: .204 avg .241 OPS and .608 OPS last 7 days and .210 avg .261 OBP and .604 OPS at home. McCutchen is a beauty, but he only gets to hit once every nine buccs batters.

This Elvis impersonator owns a 3.36 ERA on the season, but thats a lie. Hes stranding slighly more then league average of batters on base, but has benefited from a .256 BAbip. Its only a matter of time until that ERA climbs further as his season as his xFIP is 4.21 with a SIERA of 4.35. His May numbers of 4.64 SIERA, 4.31 xFIP and .234BAbip suggest he has been on a next level of lucky, yet is still only able to strand 70.9% of baserunners, striking out only 12 batters while walking 7. Bumgarner owns  a 3.21 ERA, but holds a 3.22 SIERA and 3.26 xFIP, meaning we are seeing exactly what we should be seeing from bummy. His GB/LD ratio is a fantastic 50.6%/14.1% on the season with a 58.1%/11.6% ratio over his past 15 IP with a  SIERA of 2.53, striking out 13 and walking just 1 batter. Add to that the marlins are still hitting just .224 off lefties with a .674 OPS and there is alot to like about where Bummy is going right now and plenty of things to hate about Fat Elvis. Missed out on that juicy tag from last night, but still getting a take back here.
