A 4-2-0 day yesterday & I hit my first Million Dollar play! I don't have one of those today, nothing that strong.
Record: 6-3-0
Units: +3.09
10:05pm: Minnesota Twins at Los Angeles Angels
Nick Blackburn (0-0) vs Joe Saunders (0-0)
The Pick: Los Angeles -1 (+116) for 1 unit
Nick Blackburn has a career BAA of .293! In five starts against the Angels, he's 0-3 with a 5.72 ERA, 1.66 WHIP & .345 BAA! Take a look at how these Angels fare against Blackburn:
Mike Napoli - 4 for 8, 1 2B, 2 BB
Howie Kendrick - 5 for 10, 3 RBI, 1 K
Bobby Abreu - 7 for 13, 1 HR, 4 RBI, 3 BB
Torii Hunter - 3 for 9, 1 2B, 1 RBI
Juan Rivera - 5 for 10, 1 RBI, 1 K
Joe Saunders has seen the Twins four times and gone 3-1 with a .10 ERA, 1.18 WHIP & .277 BAA. Look at the how these Twins have done against Saunders:
C Joe Mauer - 0 for 8, 1 RBI, 1 K
1B Justin Morneau - 3 for 12, 2 RBI, 1 K
3B Brendan Harris - 0 for 3
DH Jim Thome - 1 for 10, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 K
Joe Saunders and the Angels roll over the Twins. Again.
10:05pm: Seattle Mariners at Oakland Athletics
Ian Snell (0-0) vs Dallas Braden (0-0)
The Pick: Over 8.5 (+105) for 1 unit
Dallas Braden has seen the Mariners four times including three starts. A 1-1 record with a 6.75 ERA, 1.85 WHIP & .346 BAA. A look at the line closer:
17.1 IP, 27 H, 5 BB, 16 R, 13 ER, 2 HR, 5 K - ridiculous
Ian Snell has a decent line against Oakland. A 2-0 record, 2.45 ERA, 1.55 WHIP & .250 BAA. It looks good but that 1.55 is still way too high for a good pitcher. I still believe he'll fall back in to his normal Pirates form. His 4.74 career ERA says I'm right.
Lastly, this total is too low. I always do my picks then check the lines to see if it's worth it. I was hoping it would be 9.5, and to my surprise it was lower. Great value here.
