Was broke is more like it. The Greenberg/Ryan Group bought the bad paper...that was a part of the sale. MLB no longer controls the finaces...2011 was the year to make a splash...guess were a year early!

Lee had 2 chances to shut Tampa out, and failed both times. 1 chance to shut NYY out, and he gets it.

Tampa offense > NYY offense
