Unproven, but I still think he's dirty. They both are lying about some things.
And re. WillMays' comments, I think he has a bit of a point. But Clemens is also retired where the B. Bonds stuff was going on while he played....and he still wants to play.
A bit of a different dynamic, but I still think there is something to what you said.

I had said guilty until McNamee brought in the evidence. Now I say not guilty. What are the odds that he kept Clemens' needles and not anybody elses? He supposivly says that he kept them because he knew that he would have to bring them out 1 day because he didn't trust Clemens. Well...if thats so, then why does he say that Clemens is like a 2nd father to his children, and that he has learned all his parenting from Clemens. Apparently he worshipped Clemens like a god.
But what does it really matter? He doesn't play anymore, and he wont play anymore. Stop worrying about the past and worry more about preventing steroids for the future.
First, is this thread even necessay? OF COURSE HE'S USED STEROIDS.... and so did 50% or more of his co-workers
The evidence, real or not, is irrelevant. If we're talking criminal
charges, no way can 5-10 year old medical equipment with stand scrutiny
to be admitted. It could be too easily fabricated or tainted.
If we're talking court of public opinion, did you really need that evidence to make up your mind? Plain and simple, this man is as guilty as they come. I'm a big Yankee fan, and appreciate Clemens as a player. But he is obviously a user, just like so many others.

so mitchell comes to mcnamee and asks him what he knows. he tells him if he lies to him he will go to jail. so he gives up pettitte and knoblauch (both of which have been confirmed true by the accused) and then he gives up the man who he was closest to and employed him. Did he do this because he wanted to add the icing on the cake? You know the other guys were doing it but I wanted to make sure they got a little extra info to satisfy them. I mean its a joke. If clemens was innocent he had no motivation to give him up when he had guilty parties to give up already.
clemens then answers the question about pettitte recalling conversations they had about taking hgh by saying andy is misrecalling and further explains that he was shocked andy took hgh and is sure that if he did take hgh he would have discussed it with him. ok i took logic in junior high school
a = truth - andy took hgh b = truth - if andy took hgh he would have discussed it with me (from clemns mouth) c= true or false? andy told roger about hgh

Everybody named in the Mitchel report has copped to it. Some (LoserDuca, Giambutt) not so much. Pettitte named, copped. Knobloch named, copped. Clemens even throws his wife under the bus. What are the odds that Clemens is the only one named that didn't use? What are the odds Andy "misremembered"?
Slim and none, and Slim just left town................GUILTY AS SIN

can't see that it matters much one way or the other. as long as they've been playing professional bball players have been circumventing the rules. so long as you don't get caught you're a star. and if you do get caught.,,well only thing that's changed is that dumbass politicians haul you up before congress for a dog and pony show to hide the fact they can't be bothered to fix any of the myriad of real problems we face. Why can't we just go back to the old days when they exiled you to the low minors.

Man, I was hoping he was not guilty but I don't see how a rational person could say not guilty. I know people are always biased but the sky is blue and Clemens used steroids and hgh....
