the reason people are hedge happy is because they have no concept of math.  ive seen this over and over since 2006 and it only gets worse.  you have to remember in this day and age people need calculators to make change for a dollar

Why wouldnt he hedge here? He'd be stupid not to. Hedge doesn't mean he has to go half and half. He could have simply put 800 on the bluejays and guaranteed himself 500 bucks....

Lol true and that drives me crazy in stores

The only way I can understand it is if you make the bet win the early games and  then a few key guys get scratched from the lineup for the last game. Otherwise just leave the last game off.

Why add the last game to the parlay at all? Just don't add it and you don't pay juice twice.

This is correct,but sometimes you have to take some guaranteed money.Takes the gamble out of it,after paying the extra fee/juice of course.

for what it's worth I changed my plaY.  had KC in last spot but replaced Giants at last minute.

Playing $300 parlays............   

I wanted the $5200 and felt confident until the bottom of the 1st.
