the reason people are hedge happy is because they have no concept of math. ive seen this over and over since 2006 and it only gets worse. you have to remember in this day and age people need calculators to make change for a dollar

Why wouldnt he hedge here? He'd be stupid not to. Hedge doesn't mean he has to go half and half. He could have simply put 800 on the bluejays and guaranteed himself 500 bucks....

The only way I can understand it is if you make the bet win the early games and then a few key guys get scratched from the lineup for the last game. Otherwise just leave the last game off.
