Don't forget also that the Phillies hitters have never seen Bumgarner.  The kid has a very unique delivery in that he hides the ball very well coming out of his hand.  Should spell trouble for an already underachieving Philly lineup.  LIke the play.

Clight, hope that Phillies never faced Bumgarner before will help. The kid had a solid outing in NLDS against the Braves.

I read something this morning that I really wish I'd learned 24 hours earlier.  The ESPN.com recap of last night's Rangers/Yankees game included this amazing stat - "Since 1952, pitchers starting postseason games with 16 or more days of rest are now 0-11 with a 7.43 ERA in 15 starts."

 

Wow, and A.J. Burnmoney last night was the latest. So tonight the Phillies will send out Joe Blanton on 17 days of rest.  Is there anything more a bettor needs to know?

AJ was pretty solid in earlier innings last night until Bengie hammered that ball to left field but i hope that 0-11 stat will help today for the Giants. Thanks and nice to see you again, MrBator.

Yes, that's right, but in between my posting in here and my posting in JJ's thread thirty minutes later, I opened SettleDownSpaz's thread and checked out his stats about C.C. Sabathia's greatness when coming off a start in which he allowed 5 or more earned runs.  That info made me flip flop in a HURRY!

Rangers lost Game 5 to the Yankees but they still out hit the Yankees in that game. i am betting Rangers' offense will get to Huges early and often in Game 6.
