Howdy jstaley. Last night we briefly discussed our disdain on some of the Umpiring and replay issues, along with the frustration on the ever changing strike zone.
Question. How much merit do you put into the officiating crew, and more importantly, the HPU when Capping your Plays? Do you use that mostly for o/u, or does it sway your Plays for either a Pitcher, or a hitting team based on who's behind the plate?
Obviously, they (the Umps) can have a HUGE outcome on the game and was just wondering how and how much that affects your Capping.

Thanks for the compliment Hog, I appreciate it. I used to put a lot of emphasis on individual umpires, but it is tricky predicting which will be behind the plate. All too often the skip a rotation ect. It just wasn't worth the time. On big plays ($$) I don't factor in the probability, but it is a minor adjustment. GL to you tonight!

That game scares me, and I won't be touching it. won't bore you with the details, but if I had to play this game, I would limit my position so I did not hurt myself, meaning I would go Houston 5 Inning RL to isolate Kazmir vs Shoemaker, and would have a + line (+105) so if it went south it would lessen my loss. Hope that helps

Not cramping my style at all, in fact thank you for bringing that to my attention before I posted updated numbers tomorrow (people trounce on that no matter if it is a mistake or not) I had listed the Yanks as VOID, but I was on Philadelphia tonight $100 at a +100 Line, but as I look now, I did not post it. Another great night- Congrats again
Great comebacks by Twins and Cubs. I was on both and thought Cubs were done, but Rizzo came through, and the entire Twins team did too- although I could've used a run when they had bases loaded with 1 out and didn't score wrecking my o14.5.....BUT, I just won a little Parlay off the Rangers win

Good point about all the changes affecting not only the Bullpens, but the overall Team chemistry for both the giving and receiving sides of the trades. Even though these trades are supposed to benefit teams in the hunt, I'm sure in some cases there will be some animosity about players losing their jobs and/ or friends that left via the trades.
Plus there will be adjustment periods acclimating with new teams/ systems that is usually played out during Spring Training.
I remember after the NHL trade deadline, there were some issues, and I'm sure it will be the same with MLB.
Just something to keep eyes and ears on the next couple weeks.
