I am leaning towards Texas here, I was on KC yesterday, but have a problem with some of your statements here.
1. Texas Lineup is MUCH better than the Royals lineup. I have the Rangers LU 5th in the AL behind NYY, BOS, DET, CLE. I have them at a .798 OPS with 102.1 Pts above replacement level. Meanwhile, I have the Royals as the worst hitting team in the AL (.756 OPS, 20.1 Pts ABOVE REPLACEMENT). Meanwhile, Mariners are the 2nd worst hitting team according to my projections (.766 OPS, 40.1 PTS ABOVE REPLACEMENT). PUTZ is amazing, but the rest of the Mariners pen is pretty bad, overall with Putz they are an average pen I would say. Rangers are in a similar position with 2 very good guys (Benoit, Wilson), but noone else thats any good. Add to the fact that the Mariners had the 2nd worst fielding team in the league last year, and 18 runs below average in the infield and you could have issues with a heavy-groundball pitcher in FELIX.
Aside from the obvious starting pitching edge that belongs to the Mariners, the Rangers look like the better team. Just my two cents, got some last night at +185.

why are you so high on lastings?

When the experiment was finished, it was evident bettors did not care what pitching was actually worth - much like my questions(go figure!).
In short, bettors perceive pitching to be worth 70% - 80% of a game.
Pitching is actually only worth 50% - 60%.
For the few that will catch this post, enjoy a terrific baseball season!
