Specifically wondering what you think of the value with Volstad in Atlanta this evening - beaten down a bit lately but that price seems a bit high given the decent Florida offense.

not to be a dick or defend this guy but whats so special about game that gets him 4000 views 200 replies per day he has 40 units i have 240 he has lost more games than he won and im picking 57 percent in baseball why do people follow him anyway...no disrespect im just curious why he such a superhero on covers i mean give estes and others not to mention the credit....i actually agree with this guy to any extent im not tryna start a war im just stating my opinion

Don't sweat it.
Certain ppl on this forum are untouchable even with mediocre records and funky lines.

Only capper on here I truly tail is MrBator.. the rest are decent fursure... but on this site you never know if its a fraud or not..

Unlike most people I have seen on here I am pretty sure Gamehunters units are a percentage of his bankroll, not $100 equals one unit. So even though he is on a slide of late he stands to be up around 50% of his bankroll by the end of the season. Now we don't know what dollar amount he started with, but regardless the amount 50% return on any investment in 7 months is GREAT.

Looking for a little perspective.......and trying to find a good definition for a "successful handicapper"
 
Is it just based on units??
 
For instance....
 
Handicapper A may be up 40 units for the year, but he won 80 units for the first 5 weeks and lost 40 units over the next ten.
 
Handicapper B is also up 40 units. He has had 11 winning weeks and 4 losing weeks. His variance is a lot tighter and has the same result.
 
Which handicapper would you rather follow? Is one better than the other?
 
Consider this......
 
Handicapper A is prone to dogs and small lines. Consequently, he may have a losing record, but still be up 40 units for the year.
 
Handicapper B plays favorites and over/unders. He has a substantial winning record and his numbers also crunch out to plus 40 units for the year.
 
Which guy is the better handicapper?
 
Personally, I'm looking for a guy that is consistent. I can't be in front of my computer every day, so I am searching for a handicapper that wins 11 out of 15 weeks. I would gladly sacrifice the big swings in search of a tighter variance.
 
What brought this up? Well, I'm trying to make some sense out of what I see going on with GH.
 
Check out this scenario.....
 
The Nationals have 5 games over the next 5 days. Law of averages (or whatever fancy verbage you need to hear) says these guys should win 2 of those 5 games. With the long numbers these guys get, they win 2 you may break about even, they win three, four, five...Bingo, they win one or none....Son of a B.
My point is that it is foolish to try and pick out the two games they are going to win in any given 5 day stretch......that is a fools errand. Seems to me that the smart thing to do is evaluate the situation (home, away, hot, cold, etc....) and ride them for 5 games when the stars are aligned in their favor.
 
I'm simply saying that in the scenarios described above, the methodology of "cherry picking" is for the guy laying the big numbers. The guy playing the dogs and thin lines has to cast a much bigger net to be a profitable fisherman.
 
GH - Your knowledge is second to none and I greatly appreciate you sharing your insights. I applaud your success and wish you continued good fortune. Life, love, work, play......sometimes it's a good thing to take a step back and figure out what works and how you were able to accomplish your goals. My guess is that before long you'll be back to finding value in 10+ games a day and reaping the rewards of your hard work and dedication.

ote] Before you run your mouth you should know what your talking about.  Gamehunters 1 unit equals $1,000.  Couple years ago he won over $150,000 and last year close to $100,000.  So this year he's having an awful year only up $40,000.  Go bet the Cubs again for the seventh time this week and lose.  Did you take the Cubs again today?  On your best day your not even a pimple on Gamehunter's ass, know that.  Not even a pimple, now go put a $300 wager in and get lost.
