I am trying to gather information for this game.  The pitchers, starting lineups and umpire.  I will post them when I can.

If anyone else has information regarding this matchup please post it here.  I lean MIN +115.  BOL!

On the twins report, it says the players that made the trip are:

Pitchers : Slowely, Mahay, Slama

Infielders: Punto, Butera, Casilla, Harris, Peterson

Outfielders: Portes, Span, Young

 

 

Slowely's last starts:

 

3/4 @ Boston:  2.0 Innings, 0 hits, 0 Runs, 2 K's ( relief app )

3/8 @ Balty:  3.0 Innings, 1 hit, 1 walk, 0 Runs, 2 K's

3/14 Boston:  3.0 Innings, 0 hits, 0 runs, 4 K's

3/19 @ Mets:  3.0 Innings, 3 hits, 1 run, 1 HR, 2 Walks, 2 K's

3/24 Fish:  5.0 Innings, 0 hits, 5 K's

 

Overall:  16.0 Innings, 8 hits, 1 Run, 1 HR, 3 Walks, 15 K's 

ERA: 0.56

No problem Moe... thanks for helping.

The pitching matchup is Kevin Slowly (MIN) (with Kyle Waldrop and Anthony Slama also scheduled to pitch) vs. Jamie Garcia (STL) (with Kyle McClennan and Rich Hill also scheduled to pitch). 

Kevin Slowly has a 0.56 ERA this spring which is lowest of all MLB starting pitchers this spring.

Lineup doesn't look good for MIN:

Cather:  Drew Butera
IF:  Alexi Casillia; Brenden Harris; Brock Peterson; Nick Punto
OF:  Juan Portes; Denard Span; Delmon Young

Just a touch more on Slowly... he is also 3-0 with 2 NOs and all five starts MIN won the game.

That is rather important here as MIN has always hit leftys well.  Here they get a lefty starting pitcher in Garcia and Hill who will probably pitch the most of the nine innings.

Even with the weak lineup, Twins value is still good!

Damn of course STL starts their murders row lineup.  I am still leaning MIN because I don't like laying anything more than -115 in a spring training game.  Plus I like Slowly to go at least 6-7 today.   As he went 5 last start with ease and they are going to try to stretch him out today.  Perhaps the under?  What are you thoughts?

I dont know...under's scare me in spring training... they scare me as much as putting money on slowely going 9 innings against that lineup.  I dont trust those other guys

Tough to play against Slowey, but that Twins lineup is brutal...No Mauer,Morneau,Kubel,Cuddyer= No Play!

Completely agree but Vegas knows the lineups before they set the line.  Why only -130 then for STL?  My guess is the uncertainty of Garcia.  This is his first start.  We also know that the piranhas never give up (even in Spring Training).  I might make a small play on MIN.  The only reason I am forcing this is because I am going to be at the game today.  BOL on whatever you guys play.

May have to lean towards the Cards in this one...obvious lineup edge for StL even though Slowey has been lights out this spring.  This game is important for both Garcia and McClennan as LaRussa as he is still undecided on some roles on his pitching staff including his 5th starter.  This is also a big game for Hill, although from what I've read earlier, he may start the minor league game today instead.  Maybe one of you guys have heard he's playing vs the Twins instead?
