Toronto Blue Jays RL-1.5 +105 bet365 @ Cincinnati Reds * 6:40 pm
Last Meeting ( Sep 2, 2025 ) Toronto 12, Cincinnati 9
"We got them into their bullpen way before they wanted to," Reds manager Terry Francona said. "We knew we were up against it going into it. ... They've got a pretty good guy starting (Wednesday), but I hope it helps."
That "pretty good guy" is Toronto's Shane Bieber (1-1, 2.38 ERA), who will start on Wednesday in the series finale against Cincinnati's Zack Littell (9-8. 3.63) in a battle of right-handers.
Bieber recorded his second straight strong performance but walked away with a loss last Friday. The 2020 AL Cy Young Award winner allowed two runs on five hits over 5 1/3 innings in a 7-2 setback to the Milwaukee Brewers.
"For me, there's some frustration," Bieber said, per the Toronto Star. "I thought I could have finished stronger, but it's a privilege to be frustrated again. So I'm happy to take the good with the bad and move forward."
Bieber, 30, has struck out 15 without walking a batter in his two starts since returning from Tommy John surgery. He is 4-0 with a 3.20 ERA in six career appearances (all starts) against Cincinnati.
Meanwhile, Littell, 29, yielded four runs for the third time in four outings in a no-decision vs. the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday in a 7-5 Reds loss in 10 innings.
He is 2-0 with a 3.48 ERA in five career appearances (three starts) against Toronto.

Last Meeting ( Sep 2, 2025 ) NY Yankees 7, Houston 1
Right-hander Will Warren (8-6, 4.30 ERA) has the starting assignment for the Yankees (77-61) on Wednesday. He allowed four unearned runs on five hits and two walks with three strikeouts over five innings in a 10-4 win over the host Chicago White Sox on Thursday.
Warren has alternated wins and losses over his last 10 starts (3-2, 3.14 ERA). With 19 starts of two earned runs or fewer allowed, he has the second-most such starts by a Yankees rookie, trailing Stan Bahnsen (25 in 1968), per the Elias Sports Bureau.
Warren will make his first career start against Houston.
Right-hander Jason Alexander (4-1, 4.61) is the scheduled starter for the Astros. He was exceptional in August, going 3-0 with a 2.17 ERA over five starts last month. Alexander did not factor into the decision of a 4-3 home win over the Colorado Rockies on Thursday after he allowed three runs on seven hits and one walk with a career-high eight strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings.
Alexander is 1-0 with a 2.79 ERA in two career starts against the Yankees. That victory came on Aug. 10 when he worked six scoreless innings and allowed one hit and three walks while notching three strikeouts in a 7-1 road win.
The Astros (76-63) maintained their three-game lead in the American League West despite the loss on Tuesday, as the second-place Seattle Mariners fell to the Tampa Bay Rays. The series opener against the Yankees offered a playoff feel, with both teams in pursuit of division championships.
